Frequently Asked Questions
Applicants must provide a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, passport, or military ID, along with one month of recent pay stubs if self-qualifying. International residents are additionally required to submit a copy of their passport and an I-20/F-1 student visa or an L-1 visa valid through the duration of the lease.
1. Submit Application: Complete the online application form and pay the required processing fee. You will select your preferred floor plan, unit, and roommate preferences at this stage.
2. Lease Signing: Once your application is approved, you will automatically receive an email link to sign your lease digitally.
3. Finalization: After your lease has been countersigned & approved, you will receive a notification and a digital copy of the completed lease for your records.
Qualification Note: The Yard offers multiple paths to approval, including using a guarantor (requiring a 601+ credit score & income 4x the monthly rent), self-qualifying (requiring a 650+ credit score and 3x monthly rent income), or utilizing third-party services like GWP or Leap.
You can apply by visiting the leasing office at 615 South Main St during office hours to tour and apply in person, or you can use the “Apply Now” or “Schedule a Tour” options available on the website.
Six11 is located directly across from the University of Michigan, placing you just steps from your classes and study hubs. We are only .1 miles from Shapiro Library, .2 miles from The Diag, .2 miles from the Law Quad, and .3 miles from the Ross School of Business—all reachable within a 5-minute walk. Situated right on South University Avenue, the property is steps away from legendary student favorites like Pizza House, The Brown Jug, and Joe’s Pizza NYC. For daily needs, a Target Grocery and the historic Nickels Arcade shopping district are both within a 10-minute walk, ensuring everything you need is right in your neighborhood.
Our primary lease term aligns with the academic year (starting in late August and ending in late July). Please contact our Leasing Office regarding semester-only or short-term options.
Monthly rent installments include high-speed internet, pest control, and trash/recycling. Residents are responsible for water, sewer, and electric, which are billed separately and split between the number of residents within an apartment.
Pets are not allowed at Six11.
Resident can submit maintenance requests directly through their Resident Potal. For after-hour maintenance emergencies, residents can call our maintenance emergency line.
Community amenities include a penthouse lounge with panoramic views, a heated rooftop terrace with fire pits and grill stations, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center, and refreshed study spaces with a print station and group study rooms. Residents also have access to a 24/7 package room with Amazon Hub, a coffee station, indoor bike parking, and ground-floor retail.
Residents: On-site parking is available in a private, controlled-access garage. Spaces are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact our leasing office for current parking rates and availability.
Guests: On-site guest parking is not provided; however, visitor parking is available throughout the nearby University of Michigan campus and via City of Ann Arbor public parking options.
